Haddonfield, New Jersey

Working in this historic, Victorian home brought us some fun challenges. We embraced the beauty of this grande dame and worked within the beautiful story of her age and character. The homeowner wanted a fresh updated twist to the traditional and a lighter layered palette of creams and neutrals…but with a punch. We had two mandates - leave the family dining table and the antique found chandelier. We lacquered the ceiling with a shimmery gold to make the chandelier be the boss and cooled the floor with a textured rug that also created a casual elegance. We chose a transitional frame for the chairs with a performance fabric to embrace the lighter colors yet warmed by capping the end chairs with some sleek style and form.
