We breathed new life into one of Philadelphia’s historic Welsh center hall colonials. Embracing the home’s natural warm tones, easy flow, natural creaks and plaster walls, we both restored and updated this home. Our challenge was to bring in modern luxury without it being obvious. The owners wanted an old world feel but with today’s refinement. Using textiles and wallpapers from France, Italy and the UK, the home quickly transitioned from aged and tired to warm, cozy and inviting. Used as a hub for family members from all over the east coast, we created a country home in the city for family retreats and holiday gatherings.
